  • My first experience with a chiropractor was when i went to a clinic to see how it works.  We spend all day seeing patients with different kinds of body issues and pain. When Dr. Rodriguez finish for the day he ask me: Have you ever been adjusted?  I don’t know that this question was the first step in changing my life forever. After the the adjustment I could feel a difference not only in my body but in clerity of mind. At that moment I knew I definitely wanted to do this for the rest of my life.

  • My name is Maria I first started chiropractic care do to intense inflamation and my body feeling stuck and self adjusting wasn't helping. I immediately started feeling better and having more energy. Through routine visits you learn so much about your nervous system and the adjustments really help me personally manage emotional stress.

  • One day I was attending a local farmers market where I met a chiropractic team doing screenings for the local community.  I allowed a scan be done on my neck region during the market and within weeks of that I started care at Restoration Chiropractic in Columbia, Missouri.  Upon talking with Dr. Taylor Sirois in his office, I immediately knew this was what I had been searching for, for a while (I just didn't know what it was)!  For years, my curiousity had me wondering about what health and wellness meant to me and chiropractic was the answer I had been searching for.  I had been noticing many of my friends, family, and other acquaintances who were sick, dying, or on medications.  Most of these people were not getting better or told the medications and symptoms would be life long.  I knew there had to be something more that could be done to help all these sick people get better.  Little did I know there was this thing called chiropractic I was just learning about.

I continued with care at Restoration Chiropractic and shortly began looking into what it would take for me to become a chiroprator!  I began looking at schools and attending classes that would go towards my acceptance into chiropractic school.  I continued my care with Restoration Chiropractic in the year and months to follow.  Overall, because of the adjustments I was receiving, I felt better than I remember ever feeling.  I have not been sick since starting care.  I lost some weight as well and have kept it off.  My mind is more clear and I tend to make healthier lifestyle choices because of it.  All of these things have taken place because of chiropractic.

15 months after visiting that farmer's market, I moved to Georgia to attend chiropractic school at Life University (Marietta, GA).  I now receive adjustments from a local chiropractic office here as I continue my journey in school.  I cannot wait to share my love for chiropractic with everyone after this phase!  I have heard so many amazing stories from people in how chiropractic has saved their life and I am excited to be able to help change lives with chiropractic!  It feels so good to feel good!  Much love and health to all!

  • Over the years I have had a lot of mental and physical stress. I stopped giving my best in all the aspects of my life (College, work, relationships with others and with myself). One day, I just decided to take some advise and I went to a Chiropractor. My life got WAY better. I started to have more energy, my migraines dissapeared, and suddenly I just started to give the best of me just in all aspects in my life. All of this because I was feeling better EMOTIONALLY and PHYSICALLY. I thank God for that opportunity. I just decided to study Chiropractic because I just want to give others the same opportunity I had to take their lifes back.

  • Kristin Kollinger

Kristin is a 29 year-old career whoman who has been burning the candle at both ends since she can remember. She is in a high-powered job that requires weekly travel, both nationally and internationally, where she consults executive management of Fortune 500 companies that are in need of massive overhauls. Years of enduring pressures and late nights due to the high demands of her clients combined with constrained timelines begin to result in acute and recurring infections.

Prior to her corporate endeavors, her family heard from her so much that they joked about not being able to get things done and her friends admired her, as she seemed to know everyone in the town in which she grew up and made friends anywhere and everywhere she went.

Life was different now. The phone calls were few and far between and her friends didn't bother calling her anymore. They knew she was essentially married to her job and inundated with copious amounts of work trying to keep up with client demands while struggling to maintain her shining reputation as far as her work ethic was concerned.

Her stress levels were at an all-time high and sleepless nights were the rule not the exception. As chronic fatigue symptoms set in, she began little by little to take more and more of her ADHD medication in an attempt to regain the control that was slipping out of her hands. Her body began to give her signs that it could not keep up. Due to the high stress, stimulants and inconsistent sleep patterns, she began to take sleep medication which left her feeling groggy and in a fog the day following. She continued to push through because her type A personality refused to allow her to appear weak. She had pneumonia twice in a year and began developing other recurring infections. When her body forced her to take a short break, she slept the entire weekend with the exception of 2 bathroom breaks. She began to have sensitivities to things and odd rashes that she wrote off as a fluke.

As she continued to remain on the corporate leash, the muscle and joint pain began. She also would have days where the pain in her write and hand was so bad that she could not write. At first, the pain was tolerable, as she would go and get a quick 10 minute massage at the local nail salon or do some stretches or try other do it yourself remedies. Over time, the pain would result in one day, then two days and progressively more absent days from work. If she could take any time off on the weekends, she would sleep nearly the entire weekend. Something was seriously wrong.

Then it happened...her body said NO MORE. She went into work and her hand was in complete paralysis and she could barely walk on one leg. She was so fatigued and weak she was unable to stand long enough to take showers and could not life the glass of water from her bedside table. She went to several doctors as well as prestigious medical facilities that provided several diagnoses and put her on medication after medication. She was told that her prognosis was bleak. Her diagnoses left her physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually in despair. She was unable to work and falling deeper into debt.

She began praying fervently as well as turning inward for solutions. She began to strengthen her spiritual practice and after some time, she was divinely led to natural and alternative solutions including chiropractic care. Within a year she began to find her way out of the darkness and illness cycle.

Kristin began to understand that in order to get well she had to strengthen her spirit through devotional techniques and her body through relaxation and other body nurturing practices. Undergoing regular chiropractic care, focusing on mind, body and spirit practices and creating a balance between rest and activity helped decrease her symptoms and bring her body closer to wellness once again.

Her bloating started to diminish and the fatigue along with the aches and pains began to subside. Being so relieved be her progress, she began to research the effects of holistic treatments with a primary focus on chiropractic treatment. Eventually, she was able to go back to work on a part time basis, but not in the career she had before. She would never go back there. Her journey and success with holistic remedies, especially chiropractic care, has enabled her to find not only a new passion, community and restored sense of hope, but a job in chiropractic care, helping others to improve their own health.
